| Description :This 1940's event is to be held at the National Trust property of Stowe Landscaped Gardens, A weekend when the good people of Britain enjoying a 'holiday at home' in this beautiful 18th Century country park. A Glen Millar band and fireworks will follow the event in the evening.This gives everyone lots of scope for Home Front roles to play ranging from WVS spitfire fund raising, soldiers on R&R, Home Guard to defend the local
population, British verse US soldiers in a game of cricket / rounders. (I think one of those American chaps called it softball ~ what ever that is). Army unit displays, the list goes on.
