His assertion that combat as part of reenactment is unauthentic beggars
belief. The armies of 1861 -1865 did actually shoot at each other on
more than one occasion!
He does not realise that even dummy weapons are on the agenda of the
anti-gun lobby; an attempt was made last year to ban "warlike toys"
which would have covered even a non functional musket used for drill
displays.
