The knight in the foreground has a basic flat shield which has seen extensive use, when the rest of his kit is high-class for the period. Despite the appearances, he is wearing a gambeson and full mail - yes, he really is that thin... The sergeant with the halberd behind, and the spearman (/woman) on the end of the line are excellent - all of the helmets in this photo are correct for the period.
