This is a turbulent time in swedish history, an escalating conflict with Denmark eventually led to the battle of Brunkeberg 10th of October 1471. In that battle, many of the participants on the Swedish side under Sten Sture were in fact citizens of Stockholm. Thus, in this context we find both a military and a civilian aspect.
