The Peutingerian Map, a copy of copies of Roman originals, is probably the oldest roadmap in the world. With the permission of the Austrian National Library, I am presenting an on-line real-size zoomable version of it. Several place names have been transcripted and positioned on a b/w version to make easier their locating and the areas covered by the 11 scrolls are shown on a modern map too. I hope these pages will be useful:
