The Guild of st.Olaus, or Sankt Olofs Gille in Swedish, is a small re-enactment group focusing on the life of city-dwellers in Stockholm around 1471. This is a turbulent time in swedish history, an escalating conflict with Denmark eventually led to the battle of Brunkeberg 10th of October 1471. In that battle, many of the participants on the Swedish side under Sten Sture were in fact citizens of Stockholm. Thus, in this context we find both a military and a civilian aspect.

At these events members of The Household wear authentic replica clothing, fight using replica weapons and armour and practice the crafts of almost 1000 years ago to both learn about the history of the period and to educate the public. Our society attempts to re-create the camp of a group of mercenary archers from about 1345 to 1490. We are usually depicting a group of such men and women en route to a campaign or acting as escort to a group of pilgrims on the road to Canterbury or even Rome.

Stockholmsfänikan, in Swedish, is a living history company focusing on the military life of the landsknechts under the early reign of King Gustav Vasa, about 1520-1540. This was a time of great change where the wars of independence frees Sweden from Danish influence. The Hansa looses its grip, the Reformation brings change to the church and King Gustav founds Stockholmsfanikan, still in existence today under the name The Life Guards. Our aim is to recreate not only a physical reality, but also the ideas, fears and thoughts as well as joys of the time.

Westmearc is a branch of Regia Anglorum covering the states of Oregon and Washington. We have chosen as our primary focus the Anglo-Saxons and Scandinavians living in England during the first half of the 11th century (approximately 1000-1050 AD), though our members also pursue interests in other cultures and in periods somewhat earlier and later than the turn of the first millennium.

We are a multi-period society, Romano - Celt to American Wild West, boasting in excess of 40 members who provide living history as well as battles, skirmishes, gun fights. We specialise in early medieval, Tudor/Landsknecht, Piracy and the Wild West. We are more concerned with putting on a good show for the MOP's than being 100% authentic but we do take pride in our knowledge and standard of turnout.

York City Levy are re-enactment group seeking to portray common men and women from the City of York from the second half of the C15th. We're a friendly and fun group of both individuals and families and pride ourselves on our relaxed and inclusive approach where everyone gets a chance to get equally involved in just about any activity. Whilst we sometimes do a little bit of military re-enactment, our main focus are craft activities, games, food and drink and music and mummers' plays. We have an active core of some 20 people, including half a dozen or so kids of all ages. Most of us live in Yorkshire and the North East, where we do most of our events, but we do venture out to interesting historic sites in other parts of the country. We are also part of Livery and Maintenance and attend most of their events too.
